This is a painting that I did a few months ago for a longterm project that I'm working on. No name set as of yet. Dont ask me what that stuff coming from his hand is supposed to be. I found a photo of a drop of ink underwater and I couldn't help myself.

I found a high rez jpeg of a drop of ink just after it's been dropped in to a glass of water. I saved it in channels, selected the channel, filled it white and set the layer to overlay( or screen i forget) Then I masked out the fingers so that they show through the smoke effect at the bottom. But dont tell anybody :-P
This is good stuff man. Dramatic, with a sense of intrigue. It makes me want to know who he is and what his powers are. I like how you found the photo and instantly knew what to do with it. True Genius.
I like the mood he looks all powerful but peaceful like he could come with the Raahw Raahw any time but he chooses to chill . NIce lighting and thanks for the tip on the smoke effect. We should start just posting are links for reference i got a ton of great ones let me know if your looking for anything.
